      01|Saks Global partners with ABG Group in the luxury business

      Luxury department store Saks Global announced a joint venture with US brand management group ABG to create Authentic Luxury Group, an incubator that will leverage the combined capabilities of both groups.

      The main purpose is to maximise the potential of ABG Group brands such as Barneys New York and Judith Leiber Couture in key areas such as fashion, retail, digital and real estate, including the development of luxury homes, apartments and hotels.

      02|The largest commercial complex in the heart of Bangkok, One Bangkok, is about to open

      One Bangkok, a new landmark commercial complex jointly built by TCC Assets (Thailand) and Frasers Property, will open on 25 October 2024.

      Located in the CBD of Bangkok, One Bangkok, covering an area of 42.7 acres, is the largest commercial complex project and one of the largest private real estate development projects in Thailand. It covers 3 shopping malls with different characteristics, and has an area of 8 hectares of comfortable and open public green space. With a total investment of 120 billion baht (about 3.2 billion US dollars), One Bangkok is committed to becoming the "core of Bangkok".

      03|ABU Dhabi announced the launch of the world's second Sphere attraction

      Sphere Entertainment and ABU Dhabi's Department of Culture and Tourism have announced plans for a second Sphere in the world.

      First unveiled in Las Vegas in September 2023, Sphere is the largest spherical structure in the world. Its exterior features 580,000 square feet of LED lighting. Inside, it is a unique entertainment destination offering immersive experiences, shows and competitions.

      Ferrari World in YAS Island of ABU Dhabi has relaunched its popular rooftop walking experience, inviting guests to walk on the world's largest Ferrari logo while taking in the views around YAS Island.

      The experience is designed for both Ferrari enthusiasts and adventure enthusiasts. Each event can accommodate up to eight guests, and professional guides will lead the way above Ferrari World while experiencing the recently launched Ferrari-themed esports Arena.

      10月9日,新茶饮品牌甜啦啦菲律宾首家门店在吕宋岛马尼拉大湾区开业,开业活动期间日均营业额近万元。

      截至目前,甜啦啦在印尼已有7家直营店、33家加盟店;菲律宾2家直营店并计划年底开满5家店;乌兹别克斯坦3家直营店建店筹备中。2025年计划在东南亚、欧洲、北美及中东地区,实现新增门店超过400家。

      New tea&drink brand Tianlala’s first Philippine store opened in the Greater Bay Area of Manila, Luzon Island on 9 October, with an average daily turnover of nearly 10,000 yuan during the opening activities.

      Up to now, Tianlala has 7 direct stores and 33 franchise stores in Indonesia; 2 direct stores in the Philippines and plan to open to 5 stores by the end of 2024; 3 direct stores are in preparation in Uzbekistan. Tianlala plans to add more than 400 new stores in Southeast Asia, Europe, North America and the Middle East by 2025.

      近日,中国吉利控股旗下的智能电动汽车品牌「极氪」宣布正式进入哥伦比亚市场,首批计划引进Zeekr001轿车和Zeekr X SUV两款车型。

      报道称,「极氪」拟通过哥伦比亚经销商Astara拓展当地市场。Astara在哥伦比亚总计代理12个进口汽车品牌,将为品牌提供数字营销和分销代理服务。

      02|ZEEKR officially entered the Colombian market

      Recently, the intelligent electric vehicle brand ZEEKR under Geely Holding announced its official entry into the Colombian market, and plans to introduce Zeekr001 sedan and Zeekr X SUV two models as the stage I plan.

      It’s reported ZEEKR plans to expand the local market through Colombian distributor Astara, who represents 12 imported automotive brands in Colombia and provides digital marketing and distribution services.

      03|Keeta entered the Riyadh market

      The overseas version of Meituan Takeout, Keeta, entered the Saudi capital Riyadh on 9 October. Meituan Takeout CEO, Keeta Business Head and others appeared in the Riyadh office to participate in the launch meeting.

      Keeta entered Saudi Arabia in September, initially choosing the small city around Riyadh, Ayun AlSeih, as a pilot. After entering Riyadh, Keeta launched a half-price discount for the first order, giving unlimited free delivery fees, overtime compensation and other services that are not available on local takeout platforms.

      04|面霜品牌3LAB退出中国市场

      04|3LAB pulls out of China

      3LAB, known as the “Hermes” of the face cream industry, is about to withdraw from the Chinese market.

      The official statement of the brand said that 3LAB's Tmall overseas flagship store will be closed on 31 December 2024, and some products will be promoted at a 50% discount. In addition, at least 17 skincare brands, including BAUM, The saga of秀 and Philosophy, have exited the Chinese market since this year.

      Italian luxury brand Etro has announced the launch of its first luxury residential project, with it having signed an agreement with Rams Global for Etro to design the interior of Tower Rams Beyond in Istanbul, Turkey. The project is expected to be completed in 2026 and will consist of 37 floors of luxury residences.

      01|印度对瑞士腕表的需求持续增长

      According to the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry, Swiss watch exports to India in the first seven months of this year rose 20% y-o-y to 140 million Swiss francs, up 41% from the same period in 2022, the largest increase on record in recent times, compared with a 2.4% decline in Swiss watch exports to the world.

      According to UBS's latest Global Wealth report, the number of Indian high net worth individuals with personal wealth of more than $1 million is expected to grow by 22% to 1.06 million cumulative between 2023 and 2028, while Deloitte has listed India as the next big growth market in 2023.

      03|Uniqlo's parent company posted record revenue

      Uniqlo parent company Fast Retailing Group recently announced the latest performance data, in the 12 months to the end of August, the group's revenue increased by 12.2% to 3,130.8 billion yen (about 148.4 billion yuan), operating profit surged 31% to 5000.9 billion yen (about 23.7 billion yuan), the third consecutive record high.

      Fast Retailing Group in July raised its full-year operating profit forecast of 475 billion yen, with the period's net profit jumped 25.6% to 371.9 billion yen (about 17.6 billion yuan).

      The acquisition includes Unilever's four factories in Russia, involving around 3,000 employees, as well as brands such as Knorr, Dove and Axe.
